Srinagar: Hurriyat Conference (M) condemned the firing on protestors in Tahab and other areas of Pulwama in which more than twenty people were injured one of them critically.
Paying tributes to the martyrs Sharik Ahmed and Shabir Mir killed by the forces, Hurriyat (M) said it pains them and the nation to lose their young, who are forced to choose this path in the face of oppression and give the supreme sacrifice of their life.
In a statement issued to KNS, Hurriyat Conference (M) said that while the killings continue the arbitrary arrests and detention of the youth is the order of the day as the number of those languishing in jails swells.
Spokesman said that leadership and activists are also caged and detained illegally for years and months on end, illegally. They said that government should stop this authoritarian attitude and release all those detained forthwith and put an end to state repression. (KNS)
