SRINAGAR: A joint delegation of Harijan Sevak Sangh (HSS), Akhil Bharti Rachnatmak Samaj (ABRS) and Association of People of Asia (APA), led by Sh. Sankar Kumar Sanyal, President, HSS, met Governor N.N. Vohra at the Raj Bhavan here today.
The delegation apprised the Governor about their endeavours in Kashmir to spread the message of peace and love as envisioned by Mahatma Gandhi. They also pointed to the efforts required to be made to help the youth of Jammu and Kashmir for optimally developing their capacities in various arenas of activities and to ensure their progressive participation in nation building.
Appreciating the delegation’s sincere efforts for promoting the welfare of society, Governor urged them to increase the momentum of their philanthropic activities for the weaker and disadvantaged sections of society and to enable youth to understand the ethical and civilisational values for which our country has been known for centuries past.
