Girls should participate in self defence training: Asiea

SRINAGAR: Week long self defence camp for girls of the district today concluded at Indoor stadium.
International Marshal Art Player Mansha Bashir trained the girls with different techniques of Self defence through Marshal Art. A total of 300 girls from district Srinagar participated in this camp which was organized by Jammu & Kashmir State Sports Council.
Minister of State for Housing & Urban Development Social Welfare, Health & Medical Education Asiea Naqash was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
Addressing the participants, the Minister said that on the directions from Chief Minister Ms Mehbooba Mufti, such types of co-curricular activities are being conducted across the state. She further said that apart from their studies, girls should actively participate in such programmes.
The Minister also distributed prizes among the outstanding girls.
Secretary Jammu & Kashmir State Sports Council Waheed-u-Rehman Parra, senior officers of JK Sports Council, trainers and parents of trainees were also present on the occasion.
