Srinagar: Zonal president of JKLF Noor Muhammad Kalwal has strongly condemned the incarceration of JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik and his repeated arrests and incarcerations and said that only during last one year JKLF chairman was arrested more than 20 times and kept in jails and police stations for more than 180 days.
According to a statement issued to KNS, while condemning the arrest of senior JKLF activist Mushtaq Ahmad of Koreg Ganderbal in strong words, JKLF zonal president said that arresting people, putting them in jails and police stations, raiding their residences , intimidating their families and asking them to surrender in police stations has become a favorite practice of police.
He said that suppressing people’s voices by military and police might that too in the name of so-called democracy and peace, curfew politics, ban on internet and phone services and using other oppressive tactics are continuing unabated and so is incarcerating resistance leaders and activists.
He said that ailing veteran leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani remains under house arrest from last many years whereas Mirwaiz Muhammad Umar Farooq is also arrested and house arrested every now and then.
He said that remaining incarcerated has become a routine for JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik who from 8th July 2016 till 3rd July this year has been arrested as many as twenty times and has spend at least 180 days in jail and various police stations and he is still lodged at central jail Srinagar. Noor Muhammad Kalwal said that besides banning every political activity and even normal meetings between resistance leaders, so-called rulers and occupational authorities have choked every little space on peaceful activities in Jammu Kashmir which is highly undemocratic and inhuman.
He said that callous attitude and undemocratic behavior of so-called rulers is a testimony to the fact that India and its stooges are afraid of the popularity of resistance leaders and they know the fact that Kashmiris only want freedom from Indian occupation.
Terming the recent statements of BJP and its so-called leader Khujoria in which he has said that Kashmir will be turned into a graveyard of those seeking freedom and also that passing of GST bill in so-called assembly is a defeat to resistance camp, as ridiculous and naked Hitlerism, JKLF leader said that PDP ally Hindu fascist party BJP and its leaders must know that every human in Kashmir is seeking Azadi from India and that Kashmiris will keep resisting Indian fascism till the withdrawal of last Indian occupational solider from our land and the achievement of the desired goal.
He said that Hindu “Baniya” Party and its leaders who are day dreaming of defeating the valor of Kashmiris and killing all OF them should also know that Kashmir is not their looted treasure and that life and death and success and defeat are only in the hands of Almighty Allah.
Terming the statement of BJP about passing of GST bill in so-called assembly as a defeat to Kashmiri resistance as childish, JKLF leader said that for us this so-called assembly and its members carry no value except that these are the agents of illegal Indian occupation against which Kashmiris are striving from last 70 years.
