DGP inaugurates workshop on coblation technology at Police Hospital Srinagar

Srinagar: Director General of Police Dr. S.P Vaid today inaugurated one day workshop on coblation technology at Police Hospital Srinagar. The Continuous Medical Examination cum live surgical workshop was organised by the department of ENT, Head & Neck surgery Police Hospital.
While inaugurating the workshop, Dr. Vaid said that such events and workshops bring excellence in professionalism. He said that health care for the police personnel is our priority as they are doing their job in odd situations. The police hospitals at Srinagar and Jammu have been provided better infrastructure to enhance their services to the personnel and their families. We will continue to strengthen these hospitals in shape of equipment and building infrastructure and the professionals have to put their efforts together and provide best health care to the police personnel, the DGP said.
DGP complimented Medical Superintendent Dr. Bilal Raja and other staff of the hospital for introducing coblation in ENT technology. He said that the new technology has brought tremendous improvements in the field of medical science benefitting the patients and the efforts made by Dr. Bilal in organising such workshops will provide a platform to acquaint medicos and para-medicos with the technology.
DGP expressed his satisfaction over the services being provided to the police personnel and said that the passion of the professionals and other staff has helped the hospital to achieve excellence in the field of public service. He informed that PHQ has requested the State govt for establishing a trauma centre in the hospital which is a dire requirement in the present times.
Earlier, Medical Superintendent Dr. Bilal Raja, welcoming the DGP and other distinguished guests said that the workshop is an academic event which will help the professionals of the hospital to gain expertise and knowledge in coblation. He said that the workshop was first of its kind in the valley and police hospital will continue its efforts to provide best health care to the patients.
Director Health Services Kashmir, Dr. Saleem-ur-Rehman, President AOI, ENT Professor Dr. Rouf Ahmad, Ex HoD ENT Dr. Mohammad Maqbool, Senior Consultant Sri Ganga Ram Hospital Dr. Davinder Roy and IGP Technical Services PHQ Sunil Kumar also addressed the galaxy of police officers and doctors present on the occasion. They said that the papers presented by the professionals during the one day workshop will enhance the knowledge of the participants in coblation technology.
Medical Superintendent expressed gratitude to the guests for sparing their valuable time and sharing experiences in the workshop.
The inaugural function was attended by ADsGP Dilbagh Singh, L.Mohanti, A.K Choudhary, IsGP A.G Mir, Alok Puri, Muneer Ahmad Khan, Sunil Kumar, Jagjit Kumar , J.P Singh, Surinder Kumar Gupta, S. Ahfadul Mujtaba, Ex IGP Farooq Ahmad, DIsGP Ghulam Hassan Bhat, Rafiq-ul-Hassan, Director Prosecution PHQ Pawan Gupta, AIsGP PHQ Dr. Mohammad Haseeb Mughal,Sheikh Junaid Mehmood, Kulbir Singh, Abdul Waheed Shah, Sr. ADO PHQ Nasir Ahmad Khan, besides a galaxy of other police officers and doctors.
