UJC calls for protest after Friday prayers

Srinagar: United Jihad Council (UJC) on Thursday called for a protest after Friday prayers against the Trump regime for designating UJC chief, Syed Salah-ud-din as global terrorist.
In an e-mailed statement issued to KNS, UJC spokesman, Syed Sadaqat Hussain while quoting the outfit General Secretary, Sheikh Jameel-ur-Rehman as saying “Designating Syed Salah-ud-din as global terrorist is against the International regulations and the against the charter of United Nations.”
He said that “such statements are tantamount to rubbing salt on the wounds of Kashmiris and to continue to the illegal occupation of India in Kashmir.”
“Kashmiris reject such statements and he world community should also reject it and should play their role in resolving the Kashmir issue,” he according to the statement said while addressing a special meeting of United Jihad Council.
He also expressed concern over the arrest of separatist leaders and said that “such tactics won’t suppress the determination of people.”
According to the statement, he also appealed Kashmiris “to protest after Friday prayers against the Trump led regime’s decision and against the arrests of Hurriyat leaders to convey a message that the struggle will continue till any logical conclusion.” (KNS)
