Srinagar: Senior separatist leader and president Anjuman Shari Shian Aga Syed Hasan Almosvi Alsafvi thanked the supreme leader of Iran Ayotallah Ali Khamenei for calling on Muslim Ummah to support the freedom struggle in Kashmir.
Iran’s supreme religious leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei had said, “Today, the major duties of the elite of the Islamic Ummah is to sympathise and provide assistance to Palestinians and the nation of Kashmir.”
Khamenei called the cause of Palestine a major issue of the Islamic world and also urged Muslims to support the “people of Bahrain, Kashmir and Yemen”.
Aga Hasan said that it is good to see religious head of Iran openly supported Kashmir cause and condemned the state violence on Kashmiris in Ramadhan.
He thanked the Khamenei for his stance. He said that Iran has been well-wisher of Muslim community across globe and it understands the aspirations and sentiments of people of Kashmir. (KNS)
