SRINAGAR: Rina Mitra, Special Secretary, Department of Internal Security, accompanied by Sh. Gyanesh Kumar, Joint Secretary (J&K), Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), met Governor N.N. Vohra at the Raj Bhavan here.
The Governor discussed with Ms. Mitra a range of issues relating to effective maintenance of law and order and internal security and the safeguarding of IB, LoC and LAC; increasing attempts at infiltration and growing incidence of terrorism in the Valley; continuing attacks on the State police personnel and the most worrying consequences flowing from the involvement of youth and students in agitational activities.
They also discussed the security arrangements for the smooth conduct of Shri Amarnathji Yatra 2017 which is commencing on 29th June 2017.
