Srinagar: The incarcerated chairman of Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) Shabir Ahmad Shah on Thursday expressed deep concern over the continuous loss of lives of mujahideen and said there is a need to identify the black-sheep who are damaging the movement.
Paying heartfelt tributes to Shaheed Abdul Majeed, Shaheed Shakir and Shaheed Shabir Ahmad who were martyred in a gunfight with forces in Kakapore, Pulwama, Shah said, “We are seriously concerned over the continuous martyrdom of our mujahideen and people should take the matter seriously and identify and expose the Mir-e-Jafars and Mir-e-Sadiq like snakes,” he said.
Shah also expressed deep grief over the killing of a civilian Tauseef Ahmad Bhat by forces and said it has become a routine for occupational forces to kill Kashmiris. “They (forces) have waged a war against the people of Kashmir and are killing our youth on daily basis,” he said and expressed condolence and solidarity with the bereaved families of martyrs.
Meanwhile, Shabir Ahmad Shah talked to the family of Shaheed Gulzar Ahmad of Brath Kalan, Sopore by phone and expressed solidarity with them. “The whole nation is with you and the sacrifices of our martyrs will not go in vain,” Shah told the family.
On Shah’s directions, a delegation comprising Mohammad Ibrahim, Abdul Waheed, and Bashir Ahmad visited the martyr’s family.
Meanwhile, Shah appealed to people of the state to pray for the prosperity, welfare and Azadi of the nation and also for the Muslim Ummah on the occasion of Youm-ul-Quds and Youm-e-Kashmir. He also appealed people to hold peaceful protests after Friday prayers against the ongoing oppression in the State. (KNS)
