Srinagar: As nation is celebrating International Yoga Day, 115 Bn CRPF, has also celebrated 21st June 2017 as International Yoga Day at Battalion Head Quarter located at Bhaba Atomic Research Centre, Zakura, Srinagar in a befitting manner, 150-200 CRPF men inculing Officers  participated in this Yoga festive with zeal and happiness.

An hour long programme was held. The Yoga was started at 0700 A.M. A hour long exercise session were performed under the expert guidance of Master yoga trainers of CRPF. During this yoga session more then 15 to 20 asanas /exercises were performed that include basic yogic asanas such as Shalabasana, Pawanmuktasana, Anlom-vilom, Makrasana among other followed by breathing exercise Kaapalbhaati, Pranayana Anlom-vilom and meditation.

While talking with personnel Shri Naresh Kumar, Commandant 115 Bn briefed that CRPF men always remain in tense situation so I think that the Yoga is the only way to get rid of from stress and was decided that a yoga activity should be done by our force personnel every day. He also briefed about the importance of this day. Yoga trainer elaborated benefits of Yoga and which Asanas are very beneficial to force personnel to get relief from stress due to tense schedule of duties in valley. To celebrate yoga day in whole world is the gift given by India.

The importance of Yoga was discussed in UNO on the proposal of Indian Prime Minister and subsequently it was decided by the UNO that Yoga day will be celebrated on 21st June every year. After completion of Yoga session, Jawans and Officers were very happy and feeling relax and energetic morale of this unit personnel was very high.
