Srinagar: Coordinator Chief Minister’s Grievance Cell, Tassaduq Hussain Mufti, today chaired a meeting with officers of various Departments to review the status of pending complaints received by the CM’s Grievance cell.
During the meeting, the Coordinator was apprised about the status and nature of complaints. He took a detailed review of each and every complaint. He stressed the officers to be prompt in addressing the complaints.
In order to keep people informed about the status of their grievance, he said that a brief note about each complaint should be put on the Grievance Cell website so that it can be known whether it is in process or has been redressed. He said this would help people to get to know about the activities the Grievance Cell.
The Coordinator also asked that officials to update the grievance cell website regularly. He further asked them that the information they send regarding the complaints should be precise and added that he expects a time-bound reply from concerned Departments so that complaints don’t pile up.
He added that the aim of the Grievance Cell besides redressing grievances is to empower common people and assure them that they are being heard by the Government and the administration.
The meeting was attended by Chief Engineer R&B Kashmir, officials from Department of Labour and Employment, Health and Medical Education, Industries and Commerce, Housing and Urban Development, Forest, Environment and Ecology, Road and Building, General Administration, Education, Information and Technology, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs.
