It is hilarious to say that it was just a “patrolling exercise and a leg work’’ as police personnel were feeling lazy, said leadership.
Keeping large population as hostage for hours is sheer violation of human rights, said they and added that unnecessary search operation has become routine and order of the day for forces and police personnel, said leadership.
People are subjected to humiliation and forces, police and other agencies feel free and unaccountable for their misdeeds, said leaders & while terming police action as bullying against civilians, leadership added that such uncivilized and heartless tactics are nowhere adopted in civilized societies.
Terming forces and police action as state terrorism, the leadership said that uncalled search operations are unjustified and illogical.
Criticizing the statement of IG police, the leadership said that the authorities have no regard for common civilians and on mere pretext and to wave off the laziness of their sleuths, organized their services just to humiliate civilians.
Resistance leadership said that an officer of status of DG do admit that it was ‘’leg drill ‘’for his men and affirms and illustrates how people are subjected to extreme humiliations on lame excuse.
Terming the varying statements of authorities, a brazen lie, the leadership said that different versions about the cordon & search operations in Lalchowk are quite humiliating and while referring to statement of CRPF spokesman, said that it is strange that on one hand the police chief says that it was a drill while as the CRPF spokesman said, that they had inputs about the presence of militants in area.
It testifies our claim that lawlessness rules the roost and state is virtually reeling under martial law, said leadership in their statement.
The resistance leaders in their appeal to organizations for human rights urged to take cognizance of reports of “harassment and atrocities being inflicted by forces against civilian population” in nook and corner of the state. (KNS)
