Srinagar: Chairman of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), Muhammad Yasin Malik Saturday said that termed Friday’s ‘indiscriminate shelling’ at Islamabad town, which destroyed many residential houses and business establishments and caused loss of crores of rupees to common people as ‘state sponsored terrorism unleashed by police and other occupational forces’.
In a statement issued to KNS, JKLF chairman said, “Using bullets, pellets, Pawa and teargas shells and lathees every now and then, strangulated every voice even before being raised and suppressing every dissent has actually turned police and other forces cold blooded and left nothing like humanity and ethics in them.”
He said that pushing youth to the wall, ‘humiliating and torturing their parents, torturing inmates’ in jails and police stations and prolonging their incarceration by using black laws like PSA and a new phenomenon in which police is portraying innocent youth and dubbing them militants are ‘all glaring examples of this brazen state sponsored terrorism’.
While expressing solidarity with the victims of yesterday’s ‘police highhandedness’ in Islamabad town, JKLF chairman said that “providing a helping to hand to these victims is our religious duty and we all should immediately rush to help these victims of state terrorism.”
Meanwhile, a high level delegation of JKLF today visited Brath and Bamoie Sopore and expressed solidarity with the bereaved families of Shaheed Ajaz Ahmad Mir and Shaheed Basharat Ahmad Sheikh district president JKLF Baramullah Abdul Rashid Magloo along with Molvi Reyaz,Ghulam Qadir Khan and Muhammad Azeem Zargar visited the families of these martyrs and besides paying homage to them, expressed solidarity with their bereaved families.
