Baramulla: District Magistrate Baramulla today imposed restrictions under Section 144 Cr.PC on the movement of people around the site of any counter-insurgency operations within the jurisdiction in the district.
The restrictions would be within the radius of 3 kilometers from the site of any counter-insurgency operations for a period of 60 days.
It was said that the restrictions have been imposed as an anticipatory measure for the safety and security of the general public and to avoid any untoward accident during counter-insurgency operations.
Further, in case of any exigency, locals can seek assistance of the district administration or police authorities.
However these restrictions shall not apply to the movement of ambulances, medical, paramedical staff and Government Employees. (KNS)
