Srinagar: Expressing deep grief over the martyrdom of Hizbul Mujahideen commander Sabzar Ahmad and his associates, the incarcerated chairman of Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) Shabir Ahmad Shah on Saturday appealed people to offer funeral prayers in absentia for the mujahideen.
Paying glowing tributes to Shaheed Sabzar Ahmad, Shaheed Faizaan Ahmad, and Shaheed Aadil Ahmad, Shabir Ahmad Shah said the martyrs are always in our hearts.
Terming Shaheed Sabzar Ahmad as hero of youth, Shah said his contribution and sacrifices for the freedom movement of Jammu Kashmir in such a short span of life is exemplary.
He said the people’s love and affection for the mujahideen should be an eye-opener for India and its local collaborators. He appealed people of all regions of J&K including Pir Panchal, Chenab Valley, and Doda, to participate in large numbers in the funeral prayers in absentia for the martyrs.
Shah strongly criticised the puppet authorities for imposing curfew, restrictions, and arrests. “It is impossible to break the pro-freedom spirit and resolve of the people through such measures.
Shah saluted the families of the martyrs and expressed condolence with them. “We’re extremely proud of our martyrs who are laying down their lives for the glory of Islam,” he said.
He also hailed the pro-freedom spirit of the people of Tral and said their contribution will be written in golden letters in the history of freedom movement of Jammu Kashmir.
On directions of Shabir Ahmad Shah, a party delegation comprising Bashir Ahmad Shah, Manzoor Ahmad Khan, Mohammad Shafi Lone, and other visited Tral and participated in funeral prayers of mujahideen. (KNS)
