Srinagar: Chairman of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik while paying rich tributes to Shaheed Mirwaiz Mohammad Farooq Shaheed and Khawaja Abdul Gani Lone and Hawal martyrs said so-called rulers who have choked every little space on peaceful political activities have no right to claim themselves as democrats. Ban on mourning and condolences speaks volumes about their so-called democracy.
In a statement issued to KNS, he condemned the imposition of curfew and resections on public Program on the martyrdom day today.
Terming the imposition of curfew and restrictions in Srinagar and house arresting Mirwaiz Muhammad Umar Farooq and others and banning a peaceful condolence meeting at Eidgah Srinagar, JKLF chairman said that immediately after assuming the charge of Director General of police had pledged of providing space to peaceful democratic political activities but in fact the choking of every activity has been tightened after that and today even condolence meetings are being banned and barred. This also shows the hollowness of Indian democracy in Jammu Kashmir, added JKLF chief.
While paying rich tributes to Shaheed Mirwaiz Mohammad Farooq ,Shaheed Khawaja Abdul Gani Lone and Shuhada-I-Hawal, JKLF chairman said that Shaheed Millat and Shaheed-I-Hurriyat are among those sons of soil who sacrifices their lives for the sacred cause of freedom and no Kashmiri can ever forget about their struggle and sacrifices.
JKLF chairman said that massacre of mourners who were carrying the coffin of Shaheed Mirwaiz on their shoulders, by Indian forces stands on a blot on so-called Indian democracy and today when we are recalling these sacrifices we pledge to take the mission of these great martyrs to its desired goal.
Meanwhile JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik also paid rich tributes to JKLF martyr’s Bashir Ahmad Dar @ Salim Malik, Mohammad Maqbool Dar, Maulana Abdul Gani Beerwah, Ghulam Mohammad and Abdul Aziz on their martyrdom day.
JKLF seniors including Muhammad Ramzan and Pir Abdul Rashid visited Ratsona and participated in condolences meeting held for martyrs’ Salim Malik and others. While paying tributes to martyr Salim Malik and others, JKLF delegation pledged to take the struggle of these great martyrs to its desired goal of freedom.
