Srinagar: Three policemen and a civilian were Thursday injured after suspected militants lobbed a grenade towards Police Station Safa Kadal in Srinagar, officials said.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Srinagar, Imtiyaz Ismail told KNS that one constable, two SPOs and a civilian were injured in a grenade attack in Safa Kadal today.
“The injured were immediately rushed to the hospital. One SPO has received severe injuries in the attack and is currently being treated in the hospital,” he said.
He said that the three others including a civilian had received minor injuries and were discharged after the treatment from hospital,” he said.
The SPO who has received severe injuries has been identified as Sameer Ahmad. (KNS)
