Congress enrolls 3.5 Lac Primary Members in Kashmir valley

Srinagar: The Congress today while reviewing its ongoing Membership drive in Kashmir valley took stock of the overall Drive in ten district of the valley. The Party also expressed satisfaction over the successful Membership and exhorted the Party cadres to gear up for organization elections from unit level (booth level).
In a review meeting of Senior leaders and Office Bearers held at Srinagar Headquarter, the J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President G.A. Mir flanked by PRO appointed by AICC Hussain Dalwai (MP) and APROs took stock of the ongoing Membership Drive in 10 Districts of the Valley and apprised the meeting of total number of newly enrolled Primary Members which is more than 3.5 lacs, so far.
The leaders, threadbare discussed the organizational elections to be held in the all the three regions of the State. They also praised the Cadres for successful drive.
On this occasion, PRO AICC Hussain Dalwai (MP) expressed great satisfaction over the successful Membership Drive and greeted Congress President G.A. Mir and other leaders for their dedication and hard work. The PRO also praised G.A. Mir for his great organizational skills.
The PRO informed the meeting that Congress Party in first phase is going to hold organizational elections at Unit Level (Booth level), in second phase the Party is going to hold Block Level Elections, in third Phase organizational elections at District will be held. The State Level Elections will be held fourth phase.
He informed that all these phases will be completed in next three months involving every primary and active Members of the Party from grass roots level. The PRO exhorted the Party workers to gear up for these organizational elections and ensure greater participation in the elections.
Describing the membership drive as a big achievement, State Congress President G.A. Mir while expressing satisfaction stated that despite the deteriorating situation in the Valley, Congress Party has been able to enroll more than 3.5 Lacs of Primary Members in ten districts of the valley and is fully prepared for Organizational Elections that are scheduled to be completed in next three months.
On this occasion MLC Gulam Nabi Monga, MLA Haji Ab.Rashid Dar Vice Presidents, MLA Gulzar Ahmad Wani, Spokesperson, General Secretaries, Secretaries, Districts Presidents and others were present.
