Anantnag: Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti here on Sunday said that religious harmony is the corner stone of Kashmiriyat and people of Kashmir won’t any one to damage the spirit of Kashmiriyat which has been introduced and strengthened by Sufi saints in Jammu & Kashmir State.
According to KNS correspondent Tasaduq Rashid covering the Chief Minister’s visit to Anantnag for review of development of works, Mehbooba while responding to the controversial statements of top Hizb Commander Zakir Mussa Mehbooba said “Kashmir stands for Kashmiriyat and Kashmiris won’t allow anyone to demolish the spirit of Kashmiriyat introduced by and strengthened by Sufi saints”.
Declaring that foundation of religious harmony laid by Sufi saint can’t be demolished by forces inimical to religious brotherhood in the state, Mehbooba said killers of innocent policemen, professional giants of par excellence including the likes of Lt. Umar Fayaz and looters of public money from banks can’t be friends of Kashmiris and saviors of Kashmiriyat. Saying that Kashmiris have proven their talents by excelling in All India Service Examinations and national Sports events, Mehbooba said Kashmiriyat founded by Sufi saints will be protected at all costs.
She also said that law enforcement in troubling times leaves little scope for the government to pay attention to crusade against corruption, the chief Minister said war against corruption is on the top of the Agenda of her government as a corrupt administration was a dream of late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed.
According to KNS, calling upon the teachers to play a constructive role by molding the opinion of the students over the issues concerning quality education in the State, the Chief Minister said youth should restrict their activities to learning and books but not the issues looked after by politicians, bureaucrats, intellectuals, policy makers, opinion makers and civil society members.
