Div Com tours city, stress on development in work culture

Srinagar: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan on Friday evening paid a surprise visit to various places in Srinagar city to take stock of basic amenities being delivered to the public.
During his visit, the Divisional Commissioner visited Dalgate, Boulevard, Foreshore road, Hazratbal, Lal Bazaar, Nowshehra, Soura, Qamarwari, Bemina and other areas to assess functioning of street lights, power supply and other basic amenities.
Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Dr. Farooq Ahmad Lone, Chief Engineer PDD, Joint Commissioner SMC, Enforcement officers of SMC and other officials accompanied the Divisional Commissioner during the tour.
Divisional Commissioner further directed the authorities to install street lights wherever necessary at the earliest besides repair the defunct lights for the convenience of the commuters.
During the visit, Khan interacted with locals and inquired about the problems being confronted by them and the facilities being provided by the administration. He assured them their genuine problems will be redressed on priority basis.
