IGP Kashmir promotes 287 police personnel

Srinagar: Inspector General of Police Kashmir Zone, Shri S.J.M Gillani has approved the promotion of 287 Police personnel to their next rank.
The Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) met under the Chairmanship of the Inspector General of Police, Kashmir and promoted 276 Sg. Constables to the next rank of head constable, besides in a special DPC 11 cases were approved for promotion in different ranks which included promotion of 05 Head Constables to the rank of ASIs, 04 Sg. Constables to the rank of HCs and 02 Constables to the rank of Sgcts.
Since January-2017, ZPHQ Kashmir under its various orders has promoted 02 Head Constables, 07 Sg Constables and 01 Constable to their next ranks respectively.
Meanwhile, during the current year, ZPHQ Kashmir, RPHQs and Dispols of Kashmir Zone vide different orders have granted in-situ grade promotion to 226 Police Personnel including 02 HCs, 153 Constables and 71 Followers of Kashmir Zone sofar.
The IGP in his message has felicitated these promoted Jawans and their families and expressed his hope that they will strive to work with the same zeal and dedicate themselves to work for public peace and welfare.
