Govt hires UMTC for survey of better Traffic management plan in the city

SRINAGAR, MAY 09: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Baseer Ahmad Khan today reviewed the progress of traffic management plan in the city.
Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Additional Commissioner Kashmir, Chief Engineer R&B, SSP Traffic, RTO Kashmir, Deputy Director Planning and other concerned officers were present in the meeting.
Div Com was informed that government will hire Urban Mass Transit Company Limited (UMTC) for survey of traffic studies at various traffic congestion spots in the summer capital. Later the company will submit a complete report to the state government for better traffic management plan.
Div Com directed Chief Engineer R&B to complete all legal formalities with UMTC immediately so that the company will start the survey work and submit it in a time bound manner.
Khan also directed the SSP traffic to work with close coordination with UMTC so that they will not face any kind of difficulty while performing their survey.
