Dr. Farooq inaugurates T20 Tournament at Budgam

Budgam, May 08: National Conference President and Member of Parliament for Srinagar, Dr. Farooq Abdullah on Monday inaugurated the Shaheed Aga Syed Mehdi Memorial T20 Cricket Tournament at Budgam. The tournament is a yearly, popular event organized by the Al Mehdi Foundation and witnesses massive participation of youth from all across the Valley.
A total number of 64 teams are participating in the Tournament this year and the organizers have planned the tournament to maximize youth participation and growth.
Interacting with the players from across the Valley, Dr. Farooq Abdullah encouraged them to strive in both sports and academics alike and hone their skills to compete at national and international levels. Dr. Farooq Abdullah also sought the insights of the youth in efforts that need to be undertaken to improve the Sports infrastructure in the State.
Senior NC leader and Former Minister Aga Syed Mehmood and NC Leader Aga Yusuf, along with the organizing committee of the Al Mehdi Foundation were also present on the occasion.
