District & Sessions Judge Raja Tasleem Dies in Delhi

Srinagar, March 19: Raja Mohammad Tasleem, District & Sessions Judge, currently posted as Special Judge UAPA Sopore, passed away on Wednesday evening at the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS) in New Delhi after a brief illness.

A resident of Kathidarwaza Rainawari, Srinagar, Tasleem (58) had previously served as the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Anantnag and Srinagar before being appointed as the Special Judge for cases under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).

His sudden demise has left the legal fraternity in shock, with colleagues and associates remembering him for his commitment to justice and fair judicial proceedings. Tributes have been pouring in from various quarters, acknowledging his contributions to the judiciary.

Funeral arrangements are being coordinated by his family and he will be laid to rest at his ancestral graveyard at Botraj Mohalla, Inside Kathi Darwaza later on Friday. (Agencies)
