Jammu, Feb 26: Border Security Force (BSF) personnel foiled an infiltration bid along the International Border in Pathankot sector, officials said on Wednesday.

An official said, “BSF personnel observed a suspicious movement across the International Border at Tashpatan, Pathankot border area.

An intruder was observed crossing the IB, he was challenged by the alert troops but he paid no heed and kept on moving; BSF troops sensing threat neutralised the intruder.”

The official said that the identity of the intruder is being ascertained.

“Strong protest will be lodged with Pakistan Rangers at the highest level,” the official added.
