Srinagar, Jan 1: Police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested four Jaish-e-Mohammad Militant Associates in South Kashmir’s Awantipora.

In a statement, the police said that it along Security forces have arrested four terrorist associates of proscribed terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad in Tral. They have been identified as Mudasir Ahmad Naik S/o Farooq Ahmad Naik R/o Tral Payeen, Umar Nazir Sheikh S/o Nazir Ahmad Sheikh R/o Kuchmulla and inayat Firdoos Rather S/o Firdoos Ahmad Rather R/o Tral Payeen, Salman Nazir Lone S/o Nazir Ahmad Lone R/o Kounserbal Tral.

Incriminating materials of proscribed terror outfit Jaish-eMohammad,was recovered from their possession.

It is pertinent to mention here that, all the arrested terrorist associates were involved in providing logistics support and transportation of arms & ammunition to the active terrorists of proscribed terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad in Tral and Awantipora areas of Police District Awantipora, he said.

In this regard, a case vide FIR No.134/2024 under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Tral and further investigation initiated, reads the statement.
