Srinagar, Dec 30: Fahar Manzoor Baba, Youth Ambassador-IYS and President of International Human Rights Commission for Jammu and Kashmir, was awarded the Global Peace and Harmony Ambassador Award 2024 by World Human Rights Organization and Aalamban Charitable Trust.

The discussion was majorly focused on the role, mandate and activities of the organisation and the present context of human rights in India.

As per a statement issued to the INS, Fahar Baba, as a President of International Human Rights Commission for Jammu and Kashmir (Special consultative status with United Nations) is a global frontline Organization promoting, encouraging respect for human rights and fundamental freedom as well as mitigating the violators of human rights.

International Human Rights Commission promotes peace, gender equality, health, economic progress, educational access, awareness concerning the rights of children, women, and youth building in the world.

In these challenging times, the need for peace is more critical than ever.

“India has always been at the forefront of promoting peace and harmony, both within the nation and globally. It is our collective responsibility to continue this legacy and work towards a more peaceful world. This recognition highlights his unwavering commitment to fostering peace and harmony, transcending both community and religious spheres to promote coexistence and diversity within the region and worldwide.”

International Human Rights Commission dream of inherent dignity, equal and unchallengeable rights of all members of the human rights family is the found of freedom, justice, and peacebuilding of the world.

Whereas disregard and contempt for human rights have resulted in the world in which human beings shall enjoy the freedom of speech, beliefs, and freedom of fear as proclaimed as the highest aspiration of the common people.

“These appreciations are the boosters that are making me committed and determinant towards working for my cause of bringing peace and harmony in the minds of depressed, deprived and innocent people who have been struggling in their struggle for existence. I am committed to strengthening the human bond to sustain everlasting freedom of living a peaceful life where justice prevails and equality exists in mankind. Love towards our brother’s guards, our borders and peace among casts and diverse religions protect us from intruders. My aim is to nourish this belief of spreading love, bringing peace, and establishing harmony,” Baba said.

In closing remarks, volunteers appreciated every concentrated effort in making the conference successfully, pledging solidarity to support in achieving the desired goals.

Further, Fahar Baba, appreciated all the dignities, especially Yograaj Sharma Chairman (WHRO), Vijay Malik Europe Head (WHRO), S K. Gupta, Retired Judge, Prem Chuhan, Retired IG BSF, Deepender Pathak, Retired Spl Commissioner Delhi Police, Goverdhan Aggarwal, Supreme Court Advocate, Yeshi Phuntsok, Acharya Dalai Lama, Udit Raj, Ex- Member of Parliament and others for the encouragement.
