Week-long dry spell expected, says MeT

Srinagar, Nov 18: After a fresh snowfall and rainfall in Kashmir, the weatherman here has predicted a week-long dry spell, saying that the weather would remain generally dry till November 23rd.

However, the Meteorological department’s Director, Mukhtar Ahmad said that on Nov 24, generally cloudy weather is expected with the possibility of light rain and snow (higher reaches) at scattered places of Kashmir division & isolated places of Jammu division during late night of 23rd to forenoon of 24th Nov.

He added that from November 25 to 30, the weather would remain generally dry.

Meanwhile, the MeT has issued an advisory, saying that a fall in minimum temperature by 1-2°C at many stations of Kashmir Div & few places of Jammu Div during next 5 days.

Tourists, Trekkers and travellers are advised to follow admin and traffic advisory, it reads.
