Killing of 2 terrorists in Sopore encounter big success for forces: Army

Sopore, Nov 08: The Army on Friday said that the killing of two terrorists in Sagipora area of Sopore is a big success for security forces.

Speaking with reporters in Sopore, Commander of Army’s Kilo force, Deepak Mohan, as per KNO, said that for some time intelligence inputs were being received by security forces about terrorist activities in Baramulla district and based on these inputs a cordon and search operation was launched in Sagipora area.

He said that during the search operation contacted was established with the hiding terrorists, triggering an encounter. “In the ensuing encounter two terrorists were killed. Their killing a big success for security forces,” he said.

“The identification of both the terrorists is being ascertained. Sources and recoveries have revealed that this terrorist organisation was active in north Kashmir for quite some time. Killing of both these terrorists is a huge success for us,” he said.
