Samba, Aug 23: A 29-year-old driver died due to an electric shock at Ramgarh area of Samba, officials said.

An official told a news gathering agency that the driver lost his life after a truck bearing registration number JK22A-8185, which he was traveling in, came into contact with a live electricity wire, leading to his on spot death.

He added that the driver was later identified as Sartaj Ahmad Bhat son of Muhammad Shafi Bhat of Jablipora Bijbehara, Anantnag.

Further, police have initiated an enquiry.
