According to the details available with the INS, the parts of Jammu and Kashmir including Srinagar received fresh rainfall during the intervening night of Friday-Saturday.

As per a private weather forecaster, Faizan Keng, today, especially till afternoon, the rain showers are expected at many places in Jammu and Kashmir.

The weather activities are expected to come down from the afternoon onwards. However, in a few areas, rain showers can continue until evening, he said, adding that there is a high risk of intense showers and cloudbursts during the next 24 hours.

Meanwhile, a cloudburst, possibly in a nearby forest area, triggered flash floods at Achgoza area of Rajpora Tehsil in Pulwama district.

Water has entered into the village and several residential houses. The water level is slowly receding now, he added.
