Srinagar Lok Sabha seat: 18 candidates file nomination papers so far

Srinagar, Apr 25: At least 18 candidates have so far filed the nomination papers for Srinagar Lok Sabha seat so far.

According to the INS, 18 candidates including National Conference leader Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) youth leader Waheed Parra and Apni Party leader Muhammad Ashraf Mir have filed their nomination papers so far to contest in the parliamentary elections from Srinagar constituency.

A rally was carried out by the NC and Congress leaders and workers today towards the Returning Officer’s office here in Srinagar where Aga Ruhullah filed his nomination papers.

Ten candidates filed their nomination papers yesterday while seven other had filed their papers on Tuesday this week.

The elections for the Srinagar Lok Sabha seat is scheduled to be held on May 13 while counting of votes will be done on June 4.
