Kashmir receives light to moderate rains, MeT predicts improvement from tomorrow

Srinagar, Mar 22: The overnight rains across Kashmir under the influence of fresh Western Disturbance has brought the mercury down at most places of Kashmir.

However, the weatherman has predicted improvement in the weather from tomorrow.

According to the INS, reports said that some higher reaches especially in the northern districts here have received fresh snowfall since yesterday

Director MeT, Mukhtar Ahmad predicted more rains and snow at many places with thunder, lightning & gusty winds over plains of Kashmir & Jammu Division today.

He said from tomorrow till March 26, the weather would remain generally dry with brief cloudiness as well.

On March 27, Director Meteorological department said that the weather would remain partly to generally cloudy with light rain and snow at few places.

From March 28 to 31, partly to generally cloudy weather is expected with intermittent light rain and snow at many places.

The MeT department has also issued an advisory, advising the farmers to resume farm operations after 23rd March.
