Srinagar, Feb 07: A non-local was killed while another was injured by terrorists in Shaheed Gunj area of Srinagar, police said.

Police in a post on X said that Amritpal Singh, who hails from Amritsar was fired upon by terrorists in Shaheed Gunj area this evening, who succumbed to his injuries.

Police also said that another person has also been injured in the attack and has been evacuated for medical attention.

“#Terrorists fired upon a non-local identified as Amritpal Singh resident of Amritsar at Shaheed Gunj #Srinagar, who #succumbed to the injuries. One more person is grievously injured and evacuated for medical attention. Area has been #cordoned off,” Kashmir Zone Police said.
