Srinagar: Hurriyat Conference led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Wednesday paid tributes to militants killed in Shopian and Bandipora, saying their “sacrifices are the precious assets of the Kashmir resistance movement.”
In a statement issued here, a spokesman of the amalgam paid rich tributes to Zahid Ahmad Mir of Ganaw Pora, Irfan Ahmad Ganai Heaf Shopian, Asif Ahmad Paul Kathubalan , Abu Bakr and Naseer Mir.
“The sacrifices given by these youth are the precious assets of the Kashmir resistance movement. Due to these sacrifices the voices are being raised on International level for the resolution of Kashmir issue,” he said.
The spokesman also strongly condemned the continuous house confinement of amalgam’s chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and preventing him to carry out his religious, political and social activities.
“Barring Mirwaiz without any reason has become routine of authorities. This aggressive approach of the ruling class can never cow down neither Mirwaiz nor the people of Kashmir to raise voice for right of self determination.”
