Afrer fresh snowfall, mercury improves across Kashmir, Sgr shivers at -0.5°C

Srinagar, Dec 17: Following the light rains and snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir, the mercury has improved across the Union Territory on Sunday with the weatherman predicting dry and cold weather conditions till December 24.

As per the INS, several places including Gulmarg, Gurez, Sadhna Top, Machil and other places received fresh snowfall, breaking the month-long dry spell in Kashmir.

However, the light wet spell has led to the improvement in the night temperature across the Valley with Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir shivered at -0.5°C.

Gulmarg, a famous ski-resort was coldest at -6.0°C.

Qazigund in South Kashmir recorded a minimum temperature of 0.0°C.

Pahalgam, a famous tourist place, has recorded a low of -1.5°C.

In Kupwara, the mercury settled at 1.1°C while in Kokernag, a minimum temperature of -0.8°C.
