Srinagar: Amid call for shutdown against growing incidents of braid chopping in Kashmir, the authorities have announced imposition of restrictions in parts of this summer capital of the state on Monday.

According to the District Magistrate Srinagar, restrictions under Section 144 of CrPC, barring assembly of four or more persons, will remain in force under the jurisdictions of Police Stations Nowhatta, Khanyar, Rainawari, Kralkhud, Maisuma, M R Gunj and Safakadal in district Srinagar as a “precautionary measure” to avoid any untoward incident.
