Srinagar, Oct 01: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday greeted the people on the eve of Gandhi Jayanti.

In a message the Lt Governor said: “the birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi is an occasion for all of us to rededicate ourselves to his teachings of Non-violence, peace, truth tolerance, communal harmony and work for the nation building.

His life and thoughts represent the eternal values of humanity, which are guiding different societies across the world. The significance of Pujya Bapu’s ideas and ideals and his philosophy of Non-violence and Peace is relevant today as never before.

On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti let us take a pledge to follow the path of Peace, Truth and Non-violence and strive to remove social inequities in our society”.
