Jammu: Eighteen lacs were looted at gunpoint near Bahu plaza, Jammu on Tuesday.

Two persons whose face was covered stopped a private car at gun point.

“Five people were travelling in the car and were carrying a total cash of Rs 45 lacs. They were to deposit cash at Axis Bank Trikuta Nagar,” Yashpal, one of the persons in car said.

The gun men shot at the rare window and asked them to hand over cash.

“They took 18 lacs. Money belonged Insta Cart services PVt ltd,” Yashpal said.

The gun men fled from the scene on a bike.

Incident happened on Tuesday.

SSP Vivek Gupta told INS that seven persons have been arrested in this case and investigation is going on.
