SIA conducts searches in 3 districts of Kashmir

Srinagar, Mar 4: State Investigation Agency (SIA) carried on searches on Tuesday in connection with investigation of a case (FIR No 22/2022), U/S 13,17,38 and 40 of UA(P) Act, PS CIK/SIA Kashmir at multiple locations in three Districts Kupwara, Baramulla and Srinagar.

As per details, the case is currently under investigation with SIA Kashmir to unearth the logistic and funding support channels of militancy, emanating from Pakistan and its ISI network.

“Since the conspiracy is deep rooted and has multi ramifications hence covers wide range of subjects and locations to be scanned and analysed, current searches have been an essential aspect of the investigation to collect relevant and vital evidences for the logical conclusion of the case,” SIA said in a statement.

“Obeying the search orders issued by TADA Court Srinagar, sleuths of SIA Kashmir today conducted search at five potential locations in the three districts of Kashmir under legal provisions of criminal procedure code,” the SIA said, adding, “However no arrests were made from any the searched locations.” Investigation of the case is going on, the SIA added.
