Several people feared dead as bus falls into gorge in Rajouri

Jammu, Sept 14: Several persons are feared dead and a number of others injured as a bus they were travelling in skidded off the road and rolled down into deep gorge in Rajouri district on Thursday.
The bus (JK02CD-9156) was on its way to Jammu from Surankote Poonch and met with the accident near Deri Ralyot in Charkote Manjakote area of the mountainous district this afternoon. Soon a massive rescue operation was launched by locals along with police and army. Local sources said that at least 5 persons died on the spot. However official confirmation was awaited. A senior police officer said that some people have died and several others are injured. “The exact details will be shared after sometime,” he added. Emerging story. More details awaited. The accident comes a day after 11 people were killed and 28 others injured in accident in Poonch district.
