Teenager’s Body Retrieved from River in Budgam

Srinagar, Apr 22: Body of a 15-year-old boy was retrieved from a river in central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Friday, officials said.
They said that a body was spotted by locals inside Sokh Nag river in Chak-e-Kawoosa. The police was intimated following which a team reached the site and with the assistance of locals retrieved the body from the river.
The body has been identified to be of one Shabir Ahmad Mir son of Ali Mohammad Mir, resident of Gund Hassi Bhat Srinagar – a student, they said.
Confirming it, a police official said that the body has been handed over to the family after conducting necessary medico-legal formalities.
A senior police officer said that investigations are underway and police was investigation all angles amid law & order situation in the area.
