Grenade Blast In Budgam, No Casualty Reported

Srinagar, April 19: Militants on Tuesday night hurled a grenade at Police Station Budgam but no casualty was reported in the incident, officials said.

They said the militant lobbed the grenade at police station around 21:15 hours. The device, they said, exploded outside the gate. However, they said, alert santry fired upon the militants but they managed to escape, taking advantage of the darkness.

They said the area has been cordoned off and searches have been carried to nab the attackers. A police officer said that a case has been registered and further investigations taken up.
