Srinagar, Dec 16: Two militants were killed in an overnight encounter with joint team of police and army at Redwani area of Kulgam.  “02 unidentified (militants) killed. Search is going on. Further details shall follow,” police said in a tweet.

The encounter as per police started at around 10: 40 pm yesterday (Wednesday).

Officials said that the militants were repeatedly asked to surrender but they turned down the offer and fired upon forces, triggering off an encounter.
