Jammu & Kashmir Reports 70 New Covid-19 Cases, No Death

Srinagar, Oct 27: Jammu and Kashmir reported 70 new covid-19 cases even as there was no death due to the virus in the last 24 hours, officials said on Wednesday.

Among the fresh cases, six were reported from Jammu Division and 64 from Kashmir, taking the overall tally to 331855.

There was no death due to the virus during the time. So far 4431—2176 in Jammu and 2255 in Kashmir—have died due to the pathogen, they said.

Giving district wise details, the officials said that Srinagar reported 49 cases, Baramulla 3, Budgam 3, Pulwama 0, Kupwara 0, Anantnag 0, Bandipora 2, Ganderbal 3, Kulgam 0, Shopian 0, Jammu 2, Udhampur 0, Rajouri 0, Doda 2, Kathua 0, Samba 0, Kishtwar 1, Poonch 0, Ramban 0 and Reasi 1.

A  number of these cases were confirmed at CD hospital’s diagnostic labouratory and include female (29) (NA) from Hyderpora, female (08) (NA) from Nishat, male (65) (NA) from Kichwara Handwara, female (60) (NA) from Kangan, female (30) (NA) from Natipora, female (57) (NA) from Nishat, male (72) (NA) from Sgr, male (46) (NA) from Lalbazar and male (70) (NA) from Chanpora.

Moreover, 86 Covid-19 patients recovered during the time, 09 from Jammu Division and 77 from Kashmir, they said.

So far 3265896 patients have recovered, leaving active case tally at 838 —121 in Jammu and 717 in Kashmir.

They said there was no new confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today. So far 49 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials said.

The government also informed that 63,941 doses of covid-19 vaccine were administered during the time in J&K.
