J&K Reports 72 New Covid-19 Cases, No Death

Srinagar, Oct 24: Jammu and Kashmir reported 72 new covid-19 cases even as there was no death due to the virus in the last 24 hours, officials said on Sunday.

Among the fresh cases, ten were reported from Jammu Division and 62 from Kashmir, taking the overall tally to 331638.

There was no death due to the virus during the time. So far 4429—2175 in Jammu and 2254 in Kashmir—have died due to the pathogen, they said.

Giving district wise details, the officials said that Srinagar reported 32 cases, Baramulla 11, Budgam 4, Pulwama 0, Kupwara 5, Anantnag 4, Bandipora 4, Ganderbal 2, Kulgam 0, Shopian 0, Jammu 2, Udhampur 0, Rajouri 0, Doda 2, Kathua 2, Samba 0, Kishtwar 0, Poonch 3, Ramban 1 and Reasi 0.

A number of these cases were confirmed  at CD hospital’s diagnostic laboratory  and Female (41) (NA) from Lalbazar Sgr, male (50) (NA) from Budgam, female (05) (NA) from Baramulla, female (71) (NA) from Brain Nishat, male (57) (NA) from Hazratbal, female (35) (NA) from Habak Sgr, female (47) (NA) from Babdem, male (45) (NA) from Tarbal, female (40) (NA) from Tarbal, male (58) (NA) from Rawalpora, female (52) (NA) from Rawalpora, female (75) (NA) from Shalimar, male (90) (NA) from Qamarwari, female (87) (NA) from Zakura, male (11) (NA) from Zakura and female (37) (NA) from Zakura.

Moreover, 68 COVID-19 patients recovered during the time, 11 from Jammu Division and 57 from Kashmir, they said.

So far 326343 patients have recovered, leaving active case tally at 866—144 in Jammu and 722 in Kashmir.

They said there was no new confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today. So far 49 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials said.

The government also informed that 40,500 doses of covid-19 vaccine were administered during the time in J&K.
