Jammu and Kashmir Reports 100 Fresh Covid-19 Cases, No Death

Srinagar, Sept 29: Jammu and Kashmir reported 100 fresh covid-19 cases even as there was no death due to the virus in the last 24 hours, officials said on Wednesday.

They said 24 of the cases were confirmed from Jammu division and 76 from Kashmir Valley, taking the overall tally to 329320.

There was no death due to the virus for the second day in a row. So far 4422—2173 in Jammu and 2249 in Kashmir have succumbed to the virus.

Giving district-wise details, they said, Srinagar reported 49 cases, Baramulla 9, Budgam 5, Pulwama 2, Kupwara 4, Anantnag 2, Bandipora 3, Ganderbal 1, Kulgam 1, Shopian 0, Jammu 6, Udhampur 1, Rajouri 2, Doda 2, Kathua 8, Samba 1, Kishtwar 0, Poonch 2, Ramban 2 and Reasi 0.

A number of these cases were confirmed at diagnostic laboratory of CD hospital, they said.

The CD cases include male (50) from Srinagar, female (80) from Banihal, female (16) from Saderbal Hazratbal, female (55) from Khanyar, female (28) from Chattabal, two males (43, 11) from Lal Bazar, male (25) and female (28) from Alamgiri Bazar, female (23) from Elahibagh, male (43) from Amda Kadal, female (40) from Gupkar and female (75) from NA, female (48) from Soura.

Moreover, the officials said that 132 more patients have recovered—13 from Jammu Division and 119 from Kashmir. So far 323510 patients have recovered, leaving active case tally at 1388—299 in Jammu and 1089 in Kashmir.

Meanwhile, there was no fresh confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today, they said. So far 46 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials added.
