Srinagar, Jun 18: Jammu and Kashmir reported 671 new covid-19 cases while eight people succumbed to the virus in the last 24 hours, officials said on Friday.

They said that among the fresh cases, 226 were reported from Jammu Division and 445 from Kashmir Valley, taking the total case tally to 310688.

Regarding nine COVID-19 deaths, they said, four each were reported from Jammu Division and Kashmir Valley respectively, taking the total toll to 4234.

Giving the district-wide details, they saidthat Srinagar reported 133 cases, Baramulla 66, Budgam 60, Pulwama 34, Kupwara 42, Anantnag 24, Bandipora 33, Ganderbal 20, Kulgam 29, Shopian 4, Jammu 53, Udhampur 11, Rajouri 24, Doda 46, Kathua 12, Samba 2, Kishtwar 20, Poonch 16, Ramban 36 and Reasi 6.
