District Authorities on Friday imposed restrictions in and around many localities of old city Srinagar.

“Barbed wires and a heavy deployment of government forces are restricting movement,” eye witnesses told INS.

Pertinently Hurriyat (M) chairman and chief cleric Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Tuesday had urged that September 8 be observed as “Solidarity Day” with Rohingya Muslims facing persecution in Myanmar.
