The glacier broke off on Friday but bad weather conditions are hampering the rescue operations.

“There is continuous downpour in the area,” reports said.

Bodies of the deceased have been recovered by Army, it said, adding that they have managed to rescue 384 others who were working at a Border Roads Organisation (BRO) camp in the area.

Bad weather conditions had restricted rescue operations last night. Sources said operations commenced this morning, and the Army is trying to locate more people in batches.
